Of course, I do not see that happening unless it is reinstated for Iraq or elswhere.
I'll save Stallion a post. Willis won't come out early and get drafted. The guy is 6'0". I think his bio says 6'1", but that is generous. QB height is a real issue in the NFL. Heck, it is an issue in college. It isn't unheard of for a 6'1" qb to get drafted, but it is in the later rounds. It doesn't make sense for Willis to leave early to get drafted in the 6th round.
Just my opinion. Actually, it is Stallion's opinion, I suspect, but I agree with it.

Man, I wish you guys would just let mrydel make joke without having to explain the joke......
Please do not think I was implying he will come out early and get drafted. I was simply saying that my wish (a dream of non reality proportions) would be rather than Willis being in Heisman competition his senior year, that he already be gone due to his outstanding performance in his sophmore and junior years. I do not expect Willis to play at the next level, at least as a QB. He may have DB potential but I do not know that to be.
Stallion wrote:oh I get it-reinstate the draft. HaHa. No the real deficiency that Willis could never overcome in the NFL is that he doesn't have a strong arm.
J.T. is absolutely on target. Freshman, sophmore, whatever. J-Will is the man, our best player, and in crucial situations he should be the one given the chance to make the play.

I'd like to see some more option in this spread "attack"
Willis has a very nice touch on his ball but has anyone ever seen him throw a long ball? Over 15 yards? Can he zip it if he has to? Seriously I don't recall ever seeing him throw a long one.

His accuracy falls off with the long ball.. and his accuracy and timing seems much better over the middle than on a fade or post route. I sure hope they're working on these types of passes though. We need to be able to take advantage of Sanders deep.. how much man does Houston play?

Hence the Chris Leak reference... great touch, but a weaker arm. They both can zip it under 15-20 yards but it Leak has always relied on his recievers to catch it and come back to the ball on many occasions down the field. I think Leak has gotten worse as the years have passed though.. am I the only one that thinks that?
Also.. Willis has much better scrambling speed. Leak is a brick.. they both have fumbling issues too
ahead of only whichever Romo you meant to include. In order for him to rise up the ladder SMU is going to need to do better than 290 yards total offense per game.
