then dont go to the game...

Then there's Marshall. If ECU loses and Marshall wins out, they're 6-6 as well. Then its between Marshall, Rice/SMU, ECU and maybe UTEP. There's a movie coming out about Marshall's football team tragedy about the same time as the New Orleans Bowl. I could see a bowl organizer or dare we say ESPN2, thinking, take Marshall and we could sell lots of ad time to the movie company doing the Marshall movie. What's the difference between a bowl committee and a whore?

Thats crazy talk.

No. He nailed it.

I agree, we need 7 wins. At six, we would be lucky to go, but not deserving.

College football is a business...don't give me deserving. There's going to be at least 2 different 1 loss Big East teams that are fully deserving to be playing in the National Title Game. They will receive no consideration. College football is a business. Winning is a big part of it, but not everything. That being said, unless it is the Fort Worth bowl against TCU and they have seen the ECU at TCU attendance stats from the old Con USA, I can't see a bowl picking us over UTEP or ECU at 6-6.

Actually, I even still think the coach needs to win seven to stay. 6-6 is the same record in the loss column as last year and only one better in the win column...with a non-conference schedule full of d-2 teams and NTSU.

Think about it, a win this weekend probably kills two birds with one stone.

I have to agree with the "we need 7 wins" people here. Lets just hope that SMU can get over the problems they have had on the road this year and get a win a Rice.

Seeing as how Willis' suspension for the UTEP game came down from higher up, that is one loss I don't think will be held against PB. Given the givens... :D ...PB theoretically already has seven wins...theoretically.

That's true. That falls squarely on young Mr. Willis. Unfortunately the AD is only going to see wins and losses at the end of the year.
