Me too - that's when I enrolled as a freshman. Don was in my speech class.

Don't know about that but he was truly laid back and had a great sense of humor. And I loved it when he heckled Cossell.

Saw my first Mustang game on TV in 62 vs. Rice in the Cotton Bowl.
SMU scored with about 2 minutes to go to make it 6 - 7, then went for 2
and made it for 8-7. Then they intercepted a pass I think or some kind
or turnover, and scored making it 15 - 7.

We didn't have TV when I was a kid. But I remember the radio though.
