EXCUSE NO.1-the Sun just passed the Vernal Equinox so I'm feeling a little depressed from not enough sunlight.
(myrdel and jtstang-I have BIG hopes for this thread)

Okay, Stallion is excused, that's a good one too. I am aware that some folks absolutely CANNOT go, (can't get off work, kids at the Priest house, parole limitations, fear of nothern borders, spare syndrome, general sorryness, cheap, broke, apathy etc...) BUT..........some of you guy's COULD go. Well, I got to leave now, this non SMU alum, and my Texas Tech alum wife have to go support this program!

Excuse 2. I am in charge of taking the dog out to poop in the evenings. 10 hours of driving and a 2.5 hour game would cause a messy explosion at my home. When older, maybe he can hold it longer. But when I am older I will not be able to hold it longer, so the drive will be even longer.

Now I feel bad-and quite frankly a little more depressed. I would go get some sunlight during lunch but it is overcast outside.

Excuse #3: I drew the short straw for starting the SMU-OU game thread on PonyFans. Other exciting thread possibilities include "score predictions, attendance predictions, when Doh might be fired, when Doh might get an extension, OU look-a-likes," and of course your standard Bush library-volleyball-croquet banter as well.

Damn, Alex. I should be going, too! We could start a non-SMU alum cheering section!

We did not just pass the vernal equinox. That occurs in the Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. We just passed the Winter or more unambiguously, the December Solstice. Stallion claims to be a stickler for accuracy so I'll help try and keep him to it.

Actually the Winter Solstice is much worse than the Vernal Equinox. Although spring does usher in spring fever, winter funk is much worse and very much more depressing. Now get back to sulking and being blue.

Have a nice day.

Can't be a lawyer slug. There is no noticable slime trail.
