the religious right has no more pull among the republican party then the pro labor movement has among the demcratic party - both parties have their outer edges.
And any donor is free to set conditions on their money - that is their right - the university can accept or not. Bayor has chosen to not accept the conditions. Thats fine. Morris has not done anything to warrant an extension, however they will get nobody any better considering their situation. Sound familiar?

No its nothing like the SMU situation. Baylor is at a much bigger disadvantage in the Big 12 South than SMU is against the Feisty Night Birds, the Green Waved, the Tulsa Tornados(never been a Huricane in Oklahoma), University of Far West Texas and Houston Community College. Morris has built a team that couldn't win a conference game to a team that won 3 straight Big 12 Conference games and has closed the huge recruiting gap even if a little bit. He is doing an outstanding job at Baylor under the circumstances and with the absolutely second class facilities Baylor has compared to their competition.

This school is a beast of a different nature. Six of my daughters friends (classmates) in HS went to BU. Although differing in majors, and none of them worth a whole lot of $$$ or prestige in the real world, they had ONE thing in common. They wanted that Mrs. degree. When querried after their first year, 5 of the 6 mentioned that finding a hubby was (don't tell my parents) very, exceedingly, highly, getting more - important. And what is also interesting, ALL of these gals come home to Dallas for the weekend. Almost every weekend. Usually with plans for a date here in town with a BU guy (that also must come home).

Wonder how many other recruits will bail on Baylor High?
You can say what you want and everything, but please don't say Baylor and UH are the same.
