I just hope he has interest in SMU now that he is interested in looking at other schools but I'll be glad to pass it along.............AS FOR AS " yammering on here about this kid" I thought that was the point of this web site ?
It was my understanding that Logan Turner was the only QB that we were recruiting. Of course, things could change, but I bet he would be surprised if we recruited a second QB if he was told otherwise.
I have no reason to believe this young man may have interest in SMU, but, he is talking about enrolling in a school and forgoing scholarship and football until 2008. If that were the case, I am sure that Turner was not assured we would not recruit a QB next year.

Sure they subscribe to it, but they don't use it to evaluate (like you do).
There was an interesting article in the Washington Post over the weekend about the guys who founded Scouts. It said that a lot of coaches watch Scouts and Rivals very carefully because they are limited in their contacts with kids. These guys are not limited in their contacts. And the kids like talking to them because they look at them as increasing their visibility. If I can find the link, I'll put it up later.
Article says Foles probably won't sign on signing day. Still no mention of SMU, but if he grey shirts and comes to SMU, he would count towards the 2008 class...who knows.

I watched the 5A finals... if Nick Foles is 6'4", the entire Westlake offensive line were 5'10"- the kid has got to be 6'6", maybe 6'7".
He broke ALL of Drew Brees HS records, & we don't know who he is or we don't want him over somebody from Springtown???
The schools in TX (save & except BU) are about to blow it like they did with Brees back a decade ago...
