I am excited about the game and will be there! My hope is that we will be in the game heading into the fourth quarter. The plus for us is that we are not starting a freshman quarter back and that the offensive co-ordinator and quarterback have worked together for a year. Conditioning will help, I'm sure. Just so glad to be here! Go Mustangs!

You guys know that I am ordinarily a big sunshiner...but for the Texas Tech game I'm taking the jtstang approach of having no expectations at all. I see too many areas in which Tech has an advantage over us: coaching, depth, etc.
If we win, I shall be pleasantly surprised.

See, that is a flaw in JT's "no expectations" approach implying a neutral position. "No expectations" is just another way of saying you
expect us to lose. The last sentence confirms that expectation. So just be honest and admit you do have expectations, i.e., that we will lose. It's OK to have that expectation, just come out and say it.

Dizer's going to be a DE, right? Last I heard, he was pegged to start opposite from Muse. Fortunately, Tech lost its two best OLs -- guard Manny Ramirez and tackle Glenn January. I'm sure they have capable guys waiting in the wings, but those guys were exceptional.

Good point...I do expect us to lose...but I will be pleasantly surprised if we win.

I have no expectations. Therefore if we lose, I won't be disappointed, but if we win, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Just because PK doesn't get it does not mean it's flawed.

Ok, if you do not expect us to lose, then why won't you be disappointed if we lose?

I think we need to see if we can run and gun this year and Tech is a good team to try that on. I would not mind seeing a 45-42 game. Peruna might get tired, but otherwise it would be a lot of fun.

Im sure PB will have a good defensive game plan, but in case it doesn't work as planned, SMU needs to plan on a big night offensively to try to stay in the game. We need to have a chance to win in the 4th quarter. We'll need alot of points to have that chance.

I do not expect to be inducted into the Arkansas High School Hall of Fame. I would be pleasantly surprised if I was, but certainly not disappointed if I were not. Of course I would be pissed if I were selected and then not allowed in because I had a previous engagement and could not attend the ceremony.

Fair enough.
If you do get inducted...I expect an invite to the ceremony

Come on jt, admit that you expect us to lose...be honest...dodging the truth by playing with words only works in court.

It would be nice to finally get another win against a Big 12 team. Wasn't the first win against a Big 12 team called the "most important win in school history" by the SMU coach at that time?
