I decided to get DirecTV after my cable went out when it rained. Of course so does DirecTV, but I get more choices for the same cost.

Spray Rain-X on the dish when it's very dry. That's helped us keep a DirecTV signal during light to moderate rain showers and even thru some heavy t-storms here in Dallas.

FYI, high school reunions at your age generally suck (and didn't you go to an all guys school -- even worse, a sausage fest). Make an appearance, eat the crappy appetizers, say hello to your fellow Dungeons and Dragons fanatics (or whatever it was you were into in high school), and go somewhere to watch the game.
