they are a VERY decent team

The way we played is inexcusable. Piss-poor execution.
i never said that

I know, but I don't think their ability should make us feel any better about that loss.

Are you look for an argument? I just added my opinion to what you said.

I would have figured you guys would have understood the Decent team part sometime about 2 weeks ago...

Now as for how you two matchup...tough to say. Memphis got their 31 points via a ton of trick plays. double reverses, QB throwbacks, wide reciever pass, halfback pass. SMU should have no trouble moving on their defense... and if the real memphis offense shows up, no one knows on that side. Ill be cheering for my future school obviously so go stangs!!!!

Note: Attack them on Special teams, they gave up a 90 yard punt return for a TD today, and allowed over 30 yards per kick return... and they have no field goal kicker

by the way, memphis fans left the stadium cursing their own players as they walked to the locker room... classy fans they have...

ASU has been tough on everyone all year. I think its safe to say that other than TT they were the strongest team we've faced this year. Bennett is probably kicking himself over losing to them, but he clearly has to be kicking himself over losing to TCU.

TCU was a much more winnable game.

Newsflash-beating SMU does not automatically make you a decent team.

Arkie State has a better QB than TCU.

No kidding. Arkansas State in the second half and UCF last week kicked the crap out of Memphis. Maybe the fact that those two teams gave Texas a run for their money is not such a surprise after all.

But I am surprised that the Huntsville Horns have kept their noses clean for one entire week.

FYI. Memphis has a couple crazy plays where they lateral to the far side with what looks like a screen pass and then either throw a pass straight downfield, back across the field or take off running. They scored once on one of those plays and got deep in the red zone off another. They also scored 7 on a fumble return where the CUSA official closest to the play blew his whistle and marked the ball down but the rest let it go for a TD. At best Memphis should have had the ball at around their 30. That was 21 of the 31 they scored.

I know, right. It's been quiet, too quiet.
