If UT fired Mack Brown, that would be the dumbest and I mean dumbest moves UT has ever done even if he lost to the Aggies two years in a row. The guy can recruit. Let me put it this way, if UT fired Brown, Orsini ought to be one the phone to Austin 30 seconds later. That would be a BIG NAME hire. Of course, we'd have to work out an arrangement with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department for a work-release program.

ut isn't going to fire mack brown
the man won the big one ...2005 national champions
here is the plan:
deloss dodds (70 years old?) retires in 2-4 years
mack brown (56 years old) will become UT AD
todd dodge (44 years old) will become UT head coach
but Mack really, really, really wants
one more national championship before
retiring to become AD

Major Applewhite takes over as the head coach at texas. Especially if you say mack becomes AD. Major is Mack's guy

you could be right, but i would think applewhite would have to be a head coach somewhere before Texas would hire him
todd dodge will get the nod if he has UNT rolling in 2-4 years

Oh come on...even I could recruit the state's top 100 to UT...and I don't know sh*t about football. I mean, do you think he has to even work up a sweat getting kids to commit to UT?

I think that was because of that movie "
Being John Mackovik". It did not go over well with the recruits.

IPP - not like Sooners have any room to talk. I seem to remember much worse going on at OU when Barry Switzer lost institutional control of the program and players shot each other, slept with the coach's wife and dealt drugs.
