The onside kick was a freakish thing. They were set up a for an onside kick but you can only do so much when the ball not only takes a nice bounce but it gets tipped and moved forward past your coverage. The real issue with Buffalo and coaching was their ridiculous offensive play calling in the red zone in the 4th quarter. If they had simply run the ball up the gut and ended up with a FG, then they'd have put the game out of reach. Instead, they call a pass play that gets tipped and taken back 70 yards.
