Not sure it qualifies as ballsy - but hiring Doh was not timid.

Also - why would big O leave for Nebraska? You have to live in Nebraska to be their AD. If he gets in demand (and he won't until we do something of note in at least one revenue sport) he could wait a couple of months and get something somewhere civilized.

Case in point - Bennett jumped too soon. He waits a year and he is at A&M or somewhere working downhill not uphill.

That i why we will go the damaged goods route folks - those guys are waiting on someone to take a chance on them. Thats our best option. Otherwise we have too big a jump (Cavan) or an unproven coordinator (Bennett) - and either of those options gets you sub tier staffs.

from the AP:

Tom Osborne is returning to Nebraska to temporarily run the Cornhuskers' athletic department and possibly determine the fate of Bill Callahan. University chancellor Harvey Perlman announced the return of the Huskers' former coach Tuesday in a news release. A news conference was scheduled for later in the day.

Amusing. I would post the Cypress Hill song again but i have work to do before the sun rises.

Laughable that Orsini is cleaning up Copelands mess. You read too many newspapers about pro teams sir, where GM's actually have CONTROL over the people they hire and the players they put on the field. Oh, wait...another internet genius.

Now the true costs are starting to sink in!
