FordtoTolbert, I am not sure I agree with you but do Turner Gill, Mike Singletary, or Ramon Flanigan fit your profile?

I bet Lance McIlhenny would have done well in coaching.

Larry Fedora, OC at Okie State, coached at Garland HS.

Ford to Tolbert comes through with another penetratingly pointless thread. Does he need to be from the City of Dallas, the Park Cities, or Phil Bennett's mythical 300 mile recruiting kill-zone.

Would we all have to get Fedoras if he coached here?

Chris Wilson, the DE/ST coach at OU was a finalist when PB was hired. He is from the Dallas area and wants an opportunity to coach at SMU.

We need the best person who is available for the job. Period. Doesn't matter where he's from, geographically. A recruiter can recruit. Don't know what makes the greater Dallas area so different than other places in the country. A significant way to turn this program around is to get new blood in here with different ways of doing things. Like winning.

Stallion, don't you have some bed sheets to scrub up tonight, or maybe you are sitting around reflecting on how your bro got you in the back door of the Phi Delt House...still running around with that inferiority chip, eh?

Ah...no.

Singletary will be going to Baylor, and do you really want to hire a head coach that has never has a winning season? Or even Ramon...I like the idea, but not yet. He needs to have high impact success.

Major Apple might be ok, considering he isn't going to go to TX any time soon...plus he could dirty recruit against MACK

"Hey, I was the starter, B12 player of the year, broke all kinds of records, then he recruits another guy and boom, I am benched...you really want to play for a guy like that??"
