During each of the last three times I went to the old Filling Station on Greenville, a fist fight broke out in the dining room....none of which were started by me. Ah, good times.

It sounds like it might be next door - or very near - to that amusement park on Preston Rd., just south of GWB.

So I went there. It is pretty much exactly the same as the previous incarnation. Apparently it is a difference owner, but they just bought everything outright. Drinks are thankfully the same. Food is the same menu, but I think it might actually taste better. They had several TVs with games on yesterday.

Place had good business Saturday night, hopefully it'll survive. I know it'll get more of my money.

Couch Em - I likee the new avatar. Too bad it is so far north. I live by the old one and it just doesn't look right as some other bar.

As I recall, a number of years ago, the old Filling Station moved to a location on Addison Road in Addison just north of Beltline. It was in operation for several years before closing.

I think that location, along with one in Austin, were open while the original was still open.
