I don't understand your point. Petersen earned the right to play Oklahoma in a bowl by beating every team in his conference. Boise State is in the WAC. Oklahoma is in the Big 12. They don't play each other on a regular basis. If Petersen beats everyone in CUSA, he may have the opportunity to play Oklahoma again in a bowl.

Peterson will be one of the top names for BCS jobs. Homeboy is 19-1 in his first 20 games. I think he ends up at Arizona or maybe UCLA. Also, if Bennett was able to get the same guys into SMU that Peterson could get into Boise State, he might still have a job.

I hear your argument about Petersen being recruited by a BCS school. Why hasn't Bowden been recruited by a BCS conference after 8 years? Food for thought.

I would think that Petersen would get near unanimous support if SMU got him. That's not the point. Yes make the call. But my guess is that he is not availiable based upon written reports I see concerning interest from bigger BCS programs.

Because I believe this is the first time since he left Auburn that he's been interested in coaching.
