'85coog,

Not to squash a new rivalry, but just to set the record straight... I heard the announcers at yesterday's game talk about the stomping of your logo.

But that's just what the Mustangs do when they take the field... They run out to the 50 and hop up and down. At Ford Stadium it's usually to whatever hip hop intro they're cranking out over the PA. But if you check the guys out, they we're stomping on your logo, they were just hopping up and down, getting themselves pumped up to play.

No harm, no foul.

Hmmm...that is catchy...lets see...the coveted Oil Barrel? But it's usually some dumb beat-up household item...

I would like to see rivalries with every single team on the conference docket. The SEC manages this. So does the Big 11, I mean 10, the Pac-10, and even the Big East. Why not CUSA? And don't say it's because all of the teams are bad. That has little bearing on conference rivalries.

UH vs SMU is not a rivalry. Did you see the crowd at the game. What was the attendance - couldn't have been more than 12-15000. I think we both need to get some people excited about our respective teams before we can have a rivalry.

I think SMU and TCU are still rivals as this game continues to out draw most other games for each team.

It is only our 3rd year in c-usa the rivalries will develop that kind of stuff just doesnt happen over night. If smu can stay in this conference along with tulsa and houston the rivalry will develop. Just look at the wac we were never in that conference long enough to get a true rivalry.
