Our best choice besides Johnson (and maybe even better than Johnson) is Troy Calhoun. The guy will run the spread here and Grobe proved it can work in a BCS conference. Plus, we could get him for a lot less money than Johnson. I think he's only getting $600,000 a year now.

At this point zi would take the head cheerleader. She has seen more football in the last 2 years than anybody mentioned after PJ. Plus, she could recruit? I would pay to play?

Do you think we can keep Terry Bowden out of the DG house?

Hell, at this point I'd even consider making him the house "Dad".

Nice. Maybe we can move DG over to where the Sigma Nu house used to be.

In my experience, that is what SMU football has always been about!

Fran. Bowden. some people (not me) still think Major is in the running.
Turner has a put a timeline in place, and i am afraid what this may mean to our program. we may be forced to rush into something that isn't what we need.

The timeline was to have someone for the Board of Trustees meeting for Thursday (today)..Ford's jet would have to be really fast, so the next pressure should be recruiting.

a candidate doesn't need to be at the meeting. SO would just present the person in search of approval to hire.

Fuel up the plane. Fly back to Baltimore. Grab Neuhiesel. Stick an SMU shirt and cap on him. Have the press conference. Go recruit and win games!
As easy as that. Rick said SMU is a diamond in the rough. He wants to be here. HIRE HIM!
