Absolutely - Frog High campus is an absolute toilet. Then again, so is FW, and I live in FW. Marshall also is butt-ugly. So are UT and A&M, and West Virginia.

Richmond, Michigan and Virginia are gorgeous.

In Marshall's defense, its in Huntington, WVa. Not a gleaming city on the hill. Actually, their campus was about the most attractive thing in Huntington. Again, not pretty, but not hideous if you took it out of Huntington. To give you guys the flavor of Huntington, when I went to the SMU-Marshall game, I took the train from DC, and there were no cabs at the train station. It seems that the welfare checks came out that day, and folks were using cabs (since they all had their licenses revoked for no insurance).

How did you get to the stadium in time for the game? Did you hitchhike or just walk?

We got jipped!!!!

those rankings are absolute [deleted]. pepperdine is not the prettiest campus. that site has zero credibility

Any campus that looks out at the Pacific Ocean has my vote!!

go to pepperdine's campus and then you can vote. many campuses have ocean views

The guy's methodology is a joke - never visited the campus? How odd is that?

Princeton & Sewanee are both wonderful campuses I have visited. Most of the older universities in the northeast and mid-Atlantic are very pretty IMHO.

The schools out west UCLA, USC etc didn't do much for me. The Michigan schools were average - not bad, but not great either.

SMU is by far the best in the Texas/Southwest area. No other University has spent as much effort making everything work so well together.

that list is kinda dumb. just a conversation piece, but is kind of accurate.

as for TCU, i dont care if they are our hated rivals, they have a nice campus with great upkeep. its just not the same "nice" as SMU. and yes, ours is better

Thanks for the pub - yes, I'd be willing to argue that we have one of the nicest, if not the nicest campus in the state of Texas. If you haven't been to our campus within the last year, you honestly have no room to talk.

I don't know what it is about the Ponies that lead them to believe that we have an "ugly campus." Cognitive dissonance? For reference, we spend more than any other campus in the United States on flowers alone. We also have the seventeenth largest grounds budget in the United States. The upkeep at our university is fantastic.

Within the last two years alone, we've spent over 275$MM on renovations and additions. I'll have someone take some pictures soon and I will post them on here for your pleasure, for those whom haven't visited within the last year.

Our campus is beautiful - I'm sorry that most of you can't open your damn eyes. To say that our campus is ugly, or a toilet, really shows your arrogance.

You can put all the flowers out you want, it just looks like a collection of old hospital buildings with pretty flowers around them.

I finally got a cab to my "hotel" and then took a bus to the game the next day. Getting back to the train station was a bit scarry Sunday morning since the train arrived there about 7 a.m. And a cab was needed. The desk clerk finally woke up some hung over cabbie to get to the station on time.

TCU = UGLY...and it smells like poo

You can't honestly think TCU is as attractive as SMU...

I have nothing against TCU, I firmly believe that it is in our best interest for TCU to be a top 25 program along with SMU. I know you have some solid athletic facilities. However, even if you landscaped the campus your buildings are very ugly. I think it is mainly the choice of color. If you hadn't used that puke yellow it would be much better.

That's what I think turns you guys off, the TCU Yellow Brick - it's an acquired taste, so to speak. Sure, it wouldn't be my first choice, but I defiantly don't think it's ugly, either.

Only because you help pay for it.

That building was recently purchased and will be demolished mid-year for the construction of a 56$MM performance hall.

Try again. :)
