First it was a quick look at A&M and how the coaching decision was received. Talked about how recruiting was a big item for them with the new coach. Talked briefly about the Alamo Bowl and next year.
As far as SMU, mentioned how it was the opposite of A&M (3 days) where SMU has taken 7 weeks. Question of why SMU hasn't hired a coach isn't a burning question, but a question worth asking. Talked to Ted Gangi of mustangmaniacs. Asked about recruiting and if the SMU job was a bad job or a sleeping giant. Recruiting is being handled by Director of Football Operations since we have no football staff. Ted said it isn't a bad job, but it's also not a sleeping giant. Compared the possibilities to those of tcu for the past 10 years.
