The problem I have is that OU wrecked Mizzou, which dominated ARK, which cock-blocked lsu, which is playing for the title.

exactly. look at the talent he had when they won the NC in 2000 to who they fielded tonight. i called this loss from a mile away. OU always blows it in the big games since 2000. Stoops' teams are always undiciplined too.

I wonder how many gamblers bet BIG on the Bet Against the Interim Coach Theory. Haven't they ALL lost?

Edit: If Mack Brown had done that, the media dog pile would be endless. But since it's tough guy Bob, he will be lauded for a great decision that just didn't work out. Ah, shucks, says the media.
Absolutely Agreed....Somehow Mack still can't coach with our four straight bowl wins and NC...but big Bob Bowl King never gets any grief....I think its only a matter of time before the OU faithful start getting a little worn out by all the Bowl Failure. I know some of my OU friends are starting to pick up on Bob's late season failures and are starting to groan.

Sooners have 11 penalties with 12 min to play in the game.

I was very impressed with the over all speed WV has on both
their offense and defense, plus, the WV OC seemed to always have
the right play called against zero-u's defense. The zero-u OL could
have been flagged for holding all game long. The massive zero-u OL
could not square up on WV's DL at all. WV's guys ran circles around
the zero-u O-line.
Another point. The WV RB, Devine, is very quick and fast. Boy, when
Devine got any opening at the LOS, he could cut into the lane, use
his vision to find the opening in the secondary, then take off like a
rocket. The zero-u secondary, with all their speed, could not catch
Devine. Wow! Devine reminded me of the Dallas Cowboys great RB,
Tony Dorsett.
I hope the zero-u fans are enjoying the moment! I know I am!

Actually, to correct the original poster, OU has lost 4 of its last 5 bowls.

No, no. They had to forfeit the Holiday Bowl win over Oregon because of the great Rhett Bomar. Yes, the records show they won the game but what the NCAA says, goes. Naturally, OU doesn't put a * on that.

I feel like we're splitting hairs here, but I'll concede the point.

I wouldn't lump that Holiday Bowl loss-by-forfeit in with the subject of Bob Stoops choking in a big game again. On the field, his team won. Not that 4 out of 5 isn't bad, just not quite as bad as 5 for 5.
