I don't generally have a problem with threads like this one, as long as the person who makes the initial statement is also required to post his/her real name. But then, that would cut down on posts of this nature, so I am torn...

Continue to express your dissent and your needs, but remember to remain civilized, for you will sorely miss civilization if it is sacrificed in the turbulence of change. Just a thought.

Steve-O can feel free to contact me directly via PonyFans. I will be gald to discuss with him. As for the rest of you, gonna have to think about that. Already had my house vandalized twice in the past 12 months for no known reason, so i would hate to think what would happen if people real had a reason.
But then again, I now have a shotgun by my front door.....

Kinda deep for a thread like this. But point taken.
It's all in the name of fun ad frustration.
And post count.

Can't you assess how you feel about not having a coach at the height of the recruiting season right now without waiting?

It's a dead period.

Well, so it is. Don't confound me with facts. I guess I meant that we already missed the big push up to the dead period.

Do you know what a dead period means? Coaches can call. Coaches can write.
BTW, tomorrow through Sunday is a quiet period, not a dead period.

I certainly do after that correction by blog. I had no idea a dead period isn't. And that a quiet period isn't either.

That's all I really have to say. Kinda feel better now.
Do you really think this is a Steve Orsini issue?? Selling this job is like selling ice to eskimos. I think he has done an admirable job in at least setting the bar high. We could have settled for a lot of different coaches and had this thing done with in a couple of days, but give the guy some credit for sticking his neck out.
You can argue the communication (or lack thereof) but I would not question the effort, or call him an idiot. SMU has worked 20 plus years to bury this program in as deep a hole as it is in. Do not blame the one guy that is actually trying right this ship.

Terry Bowden is not coaching football and has not been coaching football for over 9 years!! Nobody wants him!! He has a nice last name but that is it. Can we please move on, this guy is a talking head and nothing else.

Maybe SteveO is so busy calling recruits thats why he hasn't hired a coach. Even in the dead period, don't they still get to put in a call or two?
