You've got a talent to understand the nuances of recruiting talent. Unfortunately, you continually waste your gift because you aren't grateful for it.
Here's a tip: Go watch a HS football game IN PERSON. In fact, go out and watch a season's worth. When you do that and give a first-hand eyeball evaluation.
When you can do that, let us know.
No way he would do that. He would rather see how somebody on Rivals, who also has not seen any of them play, rates them.
exactly how did I do that. I did a complete search on the HP. kid that's about all there is. Not my fault he couldn't make First Team-there were 7 lineman on the First Team

Not sure if you were responding to me, but my comment about class wasn't directed at you - it was in reference to all the "class is important" people on this board.
I would like to take this opportunity to announce for the first time that according to Rivals this young man is taller than you are reporting. He is not 6-4 he is 6-4.3. That is all. (Actually his video ain't bad-looks like he's got good feet and could probably even carry substantially more weight).
He's a tackle on a team that plays a spread offense, that went to the 4A state championship, that had to protect a backup quarterback for half the season, and played for a high school program that has current offensive players at Virginia, SMU, Georgia and Texas Tech. The HP line has had college players the last few years: Reid Prince, Kelly Turner and now this guy. And as HP is consistently good, it can only help us as we get better that we have a shot at some of their better recruits.
Zach Boyd will be starting at SMU in two seasons. The kid's been groomed for years in a near-carbon copy offense. He can play. Don't know if he'll redshirt or not as a frosh, but he'll be in the starting mix from there on.
Boyd is a diamond in the rough. Look this post up in 2 years and tell me I'm wrong.
