well hell yes. Now if only a few of those had been made ineligible for any of a number misdemeanors, rather than grades, I'd say now we're talking.

We tend to look more for trivial information.

Apparently you are unaware that some people get on this site just to point out - at all costs - that SMU does everything wrong.
I'm just one of those lunatics who likes to believe things are getting better on the Hilltop. But what do Steve-O and Coach Jones and Coach Doherty and Coach Hyndman and Coach Collins and Coach Rompola and Coach Sinnott and Coach Stillson and Coach Selders and Coach Neufeld and Coach Wollman - terrific coaches, one and all - and I know? Surely there's a way to realize the sky is still falling.

Before we decide you are a lunatic, one question-how many consecutive years have you felt this way?

Of course he reads ponyfans. Guys like that get off on guys like us getting all spun up. I'm guessing it almost makes up for his meager salary.

of course it's good to see a guy who is well connected in Texas, but JJ made a point to say he and his staff will recruit Dallas HARD. That makes sense. Keep some of the local talent home - but that won't happen until they believe SMU can do what Boise and Hawaii did, i.e., play (and win) a BCS game.
When you think about it, the CUSA champ has as much of an opportunity to reach a BCS game than most BCS programs. Just gotta convince the next generation of Mustangs it can and will be done here.
