If you actually would have clicked the link to his bio, you would have found this -

Handles all aspects of on-campus recruiting including the arrangement of lodging, meals, travel and visit itineraries... Also handles correspondence and assigns and monitors a recruiting management program for the SMU staff.

Apparently our guy played for those dastardly Longhorns.

Oh, he deals with the activities of recruits when they are on campus, he doesn't actively recruit on campus. That's what made no sense to me. I didn't think there would be many people on campus worth recruiting, especially at a school this size.

Sounds like a nice gig. How many months out of the year do recruits actually take visits anyway?

I think Hundley is the LB coach.

It looks like Hundley will outrank Mason just due to his title (Assistant Head Coach/ Defense)...I think we will see a Defensive coordinator by committee with those two...Both guys have experience as DC's so we should be fine there...

Anything is better than 10 to 15 yard drop coverage...

Hill concerns me a little. He hasn't been a coach in years. Training staff is different.

It will not be by committee.

Interesting group on defense. I hope their chemistry is good. Looks like most have either played or coached LBs at some point. Think this defense will play with a LB mentality?

What about Vic Viloria???? Someone on here seemed positive he would be kept as he was a "Orsini" hire. Is that the case or is he toast??????????

I think the strength and conditioning guy serves the athletic dept - more than just a member of the football staff

I was confused too ... until I clcked the link. And thus I decided to give you a little "excrement".

I'll stop by the band sometime this upcoming football season and give you excrement in person. Hopefully before the Tulane game... but you know, if it's at the Tulane game it will be a reunion of sorts. I think that's when I first met you in person, right?

Hey guys...comment about Jerry Bennett was out of line. He recruited some of our best players....and is still one of the most respected coaches in the State.
