Last I check TOUGHEST was a superlative. You can't have 6 toughest opponents.

Then it's obviously Tech. Their offense will be as good, if not better, next year than it has ever been.

Crabtree is back, Harrell is gone I think. Or is he a senior THIS year?

based upon Tech's final starting lineup Tech only lost 4 starters-only Amendola on offense and 3 guys on Defense. Plus they are adding several defensive JUCO talents who should start on Day 1. The entire Offensive Line returns-and SMU never touched their QB last year. Tech is going to be tough next year.

Their offensive line averages 6'5", 330lbs. It will still be tough for us to get to him again this year.

two of Tech's JUCOs could gives SMU fits. They are bringing in Mckinner Dixon who was outstanding as a freshman starter at Tech and has already proven he can play D1A football. The other DE JUCO reportedly had 70 offers. Both were 4 stars and could give SMU fits.

Southern Miss will be the toughest game.

D1 Stop!!! That is the wrong attitude. I would venture to say that if the press were to ask JJ "can you name a team that you don't think SMU can beat this year" he would say "No, I think we can beat every one of them if we "believe" in ourselves and play to our potential".

SMU fans and players must Police each other and nip any negative thoughts from each others minds.. What we think, say and visualize we will project and create.

seriously guys! SMU's season is tightly linked to the attitudes on this message board. We control the team's destiny. I'm watching all you guys...

It really depends on the teams' OOC schedules...we have an OOC date at Navy in October which is in the heart of the conference season, which is why I think we may see a conference game as our opener.

Thinking about this possibility a little more, I don't see how it can happen. The Texas State game is scheduled for September 6th, so unless they are bringing back that single game they used to play the week before the whole season started (I believe it was the Black Coaches Association game), I don't see us playing a game the week before in August.

October in Annapolis can go either way. It can be hot, beautiful or chilly. If its in late October it could even snow (as happened during a World Series in Baltimore).
