Shockingly cogent and I don't read it to sounds like "we didn't need him anyway." I read it to say that we'd love to have him, but only if he knows how to act and he wants to be here.

If you were directing that me, then you misunderstood the context of my note. If not, no problem.
I hope this was not directed at me. I am not saying "we didn't need him anyway", I am saying that we need to avoid panicking because of his absence. I hope he comes back better than ever. but I think we can be successful without him.

Coach Jones just went up a couple notches in my opinion, if that's even possible. These are tough things for a team and a program to handle but it's obvious Coach Jones will not miss a beat. His maturity, discipline and complete understanding of what to do and how to do it has prevailed.

The good news -- Coach Jones is the most qualified here to analyze the situation and make the right decision.
We all know his decision - let's move on.

Play by the rules or don't play. JJ is in charge and he has rules. The inmates are no longer running the asylum. Go to class and listen to the professors and do what they tell you to do. Go to team functions and listen to the coaches and do what they tell you to do. Simple stuff.

Remember this...
Coach Jones didn't hesitate to throw Tommy Chang out there when he was a freshman QB at Hawaii.
That turned out rather well, didn't it?
Willis, had he played his cards right, had the chance to blossom as a player and reap all the rewards. Simply put, he blew it.

He failed himself more than his teammates...just another waste of talent if he really did "quit"
JW had what it took to lead this team but he probably just got to big headed

Amen. That's all that needs to be said.
