But he looked good in a homecoming game in Dallas - I think La Tech was our opponent.

I'll give him that. I'd have a terrible attitude too with that pass protection

Actually, that picture is not PhotoShop-ed. I was in the locker room that day (in November, I think) and went over to Bartel solely to ask him about the shirt. He laughed, said he had no ill will toward SMU or Coach Bennett, and was wearing it because it was a gift from a friend and he "didn't want to sweat in something nice" (or something along those lines) in his morning workout. I sat and talked with him for 45 minutes, and wrote a long story about him. As we talked, more reporters came over, and they all asked the same first question: "what's with the shirt?"

For what it's worth, I haven't seen him wear it since.
