USC Coach John McKay -"I am all for it."
Hahaha! Yes! That's the McKay quote that I was thinking about today. I couldn't remember it but yes, that one was pure genius.
There's so many more from that guy, his quotes are the best, in my opinion.

This one was always one of my favorites:
'After a 4-6 in1960, 4-5-1 in 1961, John McKay was on the hot seat. After a undefeated regular season in 1962, McKay was named the Football Writers Coach of the Year.McKay told the press "Isn't it wonderful how much smarter I am this year than I was last season?"'

I'm going to attribute this to Bill Muir who I believe was our offensive line Coach circa 1977
"If the meek shall inherit the earth then our offensive lineman shall be the Land Barons."

i think the all time best head coach quote was the darrell royal remark about rice: "they are like a bunch of roaches. its not what they eat, its what they fall into and mess up". two days before rice provided the upset of the year in college football. against texas.

unfortunately that quote was about TCU. Darrell Royal really must not of had a high opinion of the private schools-he used to call SMU QB Rickey Wesson a "little waterbug"

Just another reason that I've never had a high opinion of UT.
