By the way, Han Solo's spacecraft (The Millineum Falcon) is not a starship but a highly-modified YT-1300 light freighter. ;)
good grief
Thanks for saying that '94...

MM65 - Next thing your going to tell me he's not actually a captain because at first he was a smuggler and there are no official ranks only those bestowed upon oneself, then later, even though he's referred to as Captain Solo, because - in fact they are an insurgent group his captaincy is not legitimized by an official government. Did I get that about right?

Plus, a technicality, I did not actually specify the Millennium Falcon as the specific starship he captained.

The Millennium Falcon will always be a stasrhip in my book.

Not a starship? Jefferson Starship. Those guys are definitely not a starship.
I saw Jefferson Starship and Night Ranger at AstroWorld in 1995

But are they an airplane?

I think they were.... because at least then they were good.

Interesting. Are you proud of this fact?

Yep, and I realized you were being tongue-in-cheek, but I went for it anyway.

Luckily it was an outdoor concert and it started to thunder so my friend Ryan's mom got scared and made us go home

That was the same night that Lynard Skynard was scheduled to play at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands. First time they ever canceled an outdoor performance because lightning hit the stage about 30 minutes before showtime. I was not pleased. .38 Special was the warm-up group and they never made it onstage. When the concert was re-set, Lynard Skynard had Peter Frampton as the warm-up act!

And Happy belated Bastille Day to all!
Happy Birthday. But the heck with that Bastille Day stuff. I've been negotiating with a French company in a merger for three weeks now and I've come to a conclusion...quite frankly they deserved King Louis.

Happy belated birthday, Thad. You almost shared a birthday with our 2 year old daughter. She was born on the 12th. Hubby was pulling for a Bastille Day c-section, but alas no luck. In any case, hope you had a great day. :D

Thanks for the birthday wishes folks, I'm now 30..... and all of the sudden, all the pressure I've felt over the last few weeks is gone. I feel like a new man.

It's a brand new era.

All right, that's it just wanted to thank everyone before this thread got too far down the page.

(oh and FWMustangGirl -- too bad about the 12th, the 13th is where it's at! .... I'm just playing, a happy belated birthday to your little FWMustang2YearOld!)

Happy Birthday (albeit belated), my friend. Congrats on hitting 30 - only 10 more years until you're a Man! (I crossed that milestone this year)
