i think someone's getting screwed at $175M+ if thats the best the company can come up with. maybe everyone in the company was pulled to the Cowboys' billion dollar monster and they hired the night cleaning crew to come up with ideas

$175 MIL for that shows how much inflation is in our country.

This idea was tried at Soldier Field Chicago, (integrate old with new) and let me tell you it looks terrible....however the views of the game and amenities are second to none....

In my opinion...they should build something more college like and less industrial. Camden is a nice idea to aspire to, but this will be an eyesore for a college, in its current form.

quotes from froggie nation on the stadium:

"saw the new renderings for ACS in the football media guide on gofrogs.com and let me just say if they build that, we will have the best looking stadium in the country...it really looks cool...."

"Man I get a tear in my eye just looking at this stuff.

I am ready to contribute today if they will let me know the campaign has started.

I plead that all that can give a dollar of whatever to get on board and get ready to make this our dream home!!!!"

"What's with that growth on the stadium exterior???"

It's actually going to be around 175$ - 250$,

the worst $175 - $250 ever spent - the worst ever spent since Waterworld.

HKS has hundreds of architects. Believe me, they are not all of equal quality. But I don't think any architect would do a better job - you just can't mix old horribly ugly with new and have it blend well.

HKS is very successful, but remember that with any huge company the ones that are involved with TCU suck by definition!

I'm starting to understand about how I am supposed to hate TCU especially after this quote on the "Frog Fan Forum"...

"The revival of TCU football began under the watch of Dennis Franchione when TCU defeated the Trojans of USC in the 1998 Sun Bowl, ..."

Don't they realize Paul Hackett was the USC coach for that dismal Sun Bowl!

Words can not describe this coach! The players I spoke to at the time told me they rarely saw him and when they did he would usually go off on a tirade cussing them out for some inane reason.

HKS is probably in the ranks of thousands. No matter how good an architect is, they are more than (less than?) worthless without an engineer.

According to that collapse -- their engineers over there suck

(FYI: it seemed more of contractor error, but let's ignore that)
