I thought it was against the rules to paste articles from proprietary sources.

Granted I'm no expert, but after thinking this many times myself, I've come to a realization. Regretfully, OL recruits usually do not have the quickness to play D1 DL, otherwise they would have been recruited as such. If there's any switching to be done it, more times than not, goes from DL to OL.

Some sources have said this kid is closing in on 6'8 350 now. Supposedly he's being recruited by the known universe, but is Will Densmore's best friend.

If we recruited him as the entire line, we could save least 4 scholarships. I say go for it!

One of the best parts about PonyFans is that it helps keep the other sites accurate. As of this morning I see scout has updated his profile from Johnson to Jones. I hope the rest of the details are accurate.

Funny. I went to a movie at North Park last night, and around 9pm saw a large young man and immediately thought I hope this guy is looking at SMU.

As he got closer, he was wearing a Houtson Nutt Ole Miss T-Shirt, and he looked like the person in the picture posted earlier.

I realize this, however, Atchison ran a 5 second forty and has the right size for nose guard. Collins also has the right size for DL and might be quick enough. Otherwise, I don't think we will have to worry about OL recruits for a couple of classes.

Gotcha.

BTW, I'm pretty sure I should be limited to "read-only access" to ponyfans after about 9pm.

You can not get enough good lineman, offense or defense but primarily on offense.

Were you seeing "The Dark Knight", "Iron Man" or "Hellboy"?

come on, this is a message board w/great traffic and some content. That place is a content machine right now w/basically no message board traffic. I respect ponyfans.com for the platform and comaraderie, but ponystampede is getting it done, if you are a recruitnik

I agree with PonyDoh. The sites both serve a purpose. Really don't think one competes with the other at this point.

You're right. They don't. I too don't know why everyone seems to freak out about it.

BIG MEN rule.

40% of each class needs to be Big Men. I do not think we hit that percentage in the past. So... maybe this year we go a little over.

The quality of recruit is looking better!
The Mustang Militia is coming!

What quality? He just a big fat kid right now. Otherwise, believe me someone would have taken a chance on him. Sounds like the "recruiting universe" is NOT recruiting him. Probably waiting until he loses about half a hundred. If he hasn't been offered by August he's pretty far down the lists of schools "recruiting" him. His times and jumps would have to be among the lower 99 percentile too. Big questionmark whether he would ever see the field. Its up to him to get serious about his conditioning before most D!A Coaches would offer.
