No real surprises on the 1st team (except of course the QB).

This will be the best SMU secondary in years. I worry about the d-line, but the secondary will be good.
If the DL can't generate pressure, the secondary is going to get picked apart. It'll be a sad waste if that happens, because some folks on this board will be having kittens and blaming the secondary.

Whether we go 4-8 or 6-6 or whatever this will be a fun year barring injuries.

This year is going to be fun. I hope all of you are going to Houston to watch the first game and yes, the test run of JJ.
Things will get better and better IS better.
New blood and we can really only go one direction.

I can already hear back and forth chants of "Huahulu" - "Who?", "Huahulu", "Who?" as the other team picks their latest fallen comrade from the turf.

LOL...I sure do hope so. He tells me that the DL is a force to be reckoned with and that they work very well together. It will be their collective efforts, I believe, that will have folks chanting.

Are the 2nd string LBs better than the 1st? LT may be a problem spot. Glad to see Zimmerman starting. We need veterans around a young QB.

After the third or fourth grab by Beasley this morning, I asked who #82 was too! He looks to be a playmaker.
June keeps talking about how Wilkerson is one of the guys who's made huge strides this offseason.
Thompson is huge. Coming from a guy who's 6'4 and 245, Thompson still looks huge to me... And he's only a freshman. That being said, Sowe is a kid who in practice last year looked better than our starters. He also has exceptional physical tools (like 4.5 speed), so I'm not expecting Thompson to start quite yet.
Same for Evan. The kid is definitely a player, but Serge is a force. Probably our best DL right now. So as good as Hauhulu looks, I wouldn't "expect" him to take the starting job until next year.
I will say, that for the first time in a long time I'm feeling a bit more secure in our 2-deep. All the guys you mention give us a quality rotation I don't think we've enjoyed in awhile.
Lastly, Vincent Chase looks great at RT. I have no idea if he can play, out there on the end he makes our whole line look bigger.

IF DIZERS MIND IS RIGHT AND HE STAYS HEALTHY HE HAS THE CHANCE TO BE A BIG TIME PLAYER

THE DEFENSE SHOULD BE BETTER BECAUSE OF EXPERIENCE SOME OF THE GUYS GAINED FROM LAST YEAR
