I think it's safe to say that none of us hated Bo. We hate losing and some of us felt (some of still feel) that having a more experienced QB start the season would be best for any potential success
this season.
I will support anyone in our uniform whether I agree with the decisions made or not.

Hate is too strong a word, but you and several others were unusually unhappy about the decision. How do you feel about it now?

I feel like we owe you an apology. No one could have expected better play from anyone. Congrats to Bo. He is the better quarterback.

only one thing matters "w's"... so far Bo has 1 (against texas state), so you might want to relax a little bit. i think it safe to say everyone on this board wants smu to win regardless of who is taking snaps

To be fair, the first two weeks of the season have a lot of teams playing cupcakes, and some of the bigger programs have correspondingly greater talent differential than poor SMU/TxSt. So while we are clearly inflated, so are a lot of other teams out there. Granted this is probably the best we'll show all year, but perhaps it's not a gloomy as it could be.

True, we just played Texas State. But there's no reason to believe we won't continue to improve.

The subject is which quarterback gives us the best
chance of winning. To me that's clearly Bo. And that causes me and quite a few others on this board to eat crow, a meal I'm happily partaking in.

That's true, but so will our opponents, who are already better than Southwest Texas. The real question is will we improve enough for it to be noticeable at the end of the day.

Yes, everyone gets more comfortable as the season goes along. But only those who are implementing new and improved offenses will get better to the degree we will.

Offense is not our problem and hasn't been for a while. Improvement there is all well and good, but I am concerned about defense.

Let's wait until the end of the season before we annoint anyone the new born king.
True freshmen should not play QB. Period. Logan Turner could have done a good job this season. BL did a a nice but not great job against a d-1aa school.
Saying a true freshamn should not play QB does not mean you hate him. Lighten up.

the question was: what happened to all the Bo haters? My response had nothing to do with Bo v. ________. He is two games in to his college career, which consists of 3 interceptions at rice and a win over texas state... i dont think Bo or JJ deserve the title savior of smu football just yet. but i hope they are

Saviour no. But he's clearly outperformed expectations and IMHO has done better than Willis would have to this point. That shocks me to say.

Willis would have done better against Rice and would have beaten TSU also.

he's out performed your expectations? please explain. did you expect us to lose to texas state? did you expect him not to throw the ball 40 times again?
