Let's hope he can be a shut down corner-something we desperately need on this team.

He will be playing slot for us on offense.

that's not what the Scout quoted his father former OU player Billy McDade as saying. Kinda surprising he looks like a breakaway offensive threat-probably the Coaches will fight over him.

Rivals talked to him directly and he will play slot.

I see he doesn't have a rating, but do we know if he had any offers besides SMU. His Rivals page lists TCU, Portland St. (Mouse Davis), Iowa State, Oklahoma and 1 or 2 others.

I really don't know anything about him.

It appears SMU is getting better recruits with JJ and his staff. This thing is really going to take off once we start winning.

Texas Football Blurb on McDade

SMU has also landed another spark-plug athlete to use in its high-energy offense: Ennis ATH Deonte McDade. McDade seems to be just the kind of guy June Jones would like to have on campus -- speedy, versatile and athletic. McDade has 164 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just 21 carries through two games and another 74 receiving yards to go with it. He moves all over the field, from RB to WR to QB, and Jones should have a field day using him in his bevy of different formations. Ennis has had plenty of talented pass-catchers and athletes come through its program in the last 10 years (Broderic Jones, Vincent Marshall, Anthony Jenkins, Jarvis Woodson, Andrew Novak) but is still looking for the one guy to truly breakout at the DI level. Could McDade be the one?

I wouldn't be surprised if this young man is a 3 star recruit when he is rated.
