That is the reason I made up the MUSTANG MILITIA shirts.

Too many SMU fans come to a social event. That is not, in itself a bad thing, but it is the only reason to show up for too many.

To sit in the stands and discuss the shoe sale at Nordstoms while the team is driving down the field... is not right.

SMU fans need to be social on the Boulevard and then get to the game and be a FOOTBALL fan. Yell, sing and study the game.

Watch the formations, the line play, play selection and effort of the team.

Be a member of the MUISTANG MILITIA and come to WIN.
Peace through Strength.

Hey Bus,

I saw a few of the Mustang Militia shirts at the last game and liked them. If you ever make some in an air force style (shades of blue and grey) camo pattern I would like to buy a couple. Thanks.

Excellent point. I'm sure you noticed the social catillian going on in the aisle in front of us for the first, oh five-six minutes of the TCU game. That, combined with the TV camera platform, and it was enough to drive someone crazy.

FYI. It's cotillion.

you can tell I go to a lot of them :D

You don't need another pair of Stilettos. You have a whole closet full.

What's funny about all of this, is that we are beginning to see SMU like behavior at schools with "die-hard" fan bases that are going through a down period. If the "die-hard" fans at schools with lots of "tradition" can't keep their fans engaged for a mediocre product, how can we expect any different?

Where can we get a mediocre product?

What has been wrong with SMU Fans has been a 20 year record of a lack of leadership (in varying and lessening degrees during this period) and willingness to put a quality football program on the field and the blame goes to Presidents, Board Members, The Mustang Club, the Letterman's Association, former SMU Football players, major donors and others. SMU Fans have been more tolerant than just about any fans in the Country and much more tolerant than they should have been after the intentional destruction of our football program.

That, sir, would be a compliment. Mediocrity doesn't live at Fouts Field. We'd be far too happy with that right now.

I dunno BUS. I'm really into the game until its 14-0 with 7 minutes left in the first quarter. Then I'm depressed. If I wasn't depressed, I'd be the only a-hole in the stands yelling during third down thunder. I mean give me a break. It matters very little what the fans do until the games get within reason. So I show up to the boulevard, party my balls off. Go to the game so they get credit for my ticket, and when its out of hand I go watch football that matters. Its not pessimism, its realism. I stay to the end of the soccer games...
