I'll bite. Who would be a good and realistic option for our next DC?

In all of my years of scouting at the high school, college and NFL levels, I have never seen a worse job of coaching defense than Tom Mason. The players are constantly out of position and have been making very basic mistakes that a decent coach would drill the playres to eliminate.

He says he was a scout for the KC Chiefs. Didn't they just break their 14 game losing streak?

I saw a coaching staff modify their defensive strategies constantly over the course of the game to cover various weaknesses, and change things again when another weakness was uncovered. We blitzed, sat back, multiple formations, and no blown coverages with open receivers like we saw with the kids earlier in the season.

I thought fundamentally the defense was in the right place. We just don't have the players, specifically on the d-line, to make things happen right now.

Pretty much my thinking...thought the D looked a lot better the last 2 games. they've come a long way this year, gotta keep upgrading athleticism and size

One of the big problems is tackling. We don't wrap up. We throw bodies at legs. This doesn't work. Bell couldn't tackle my mother-inlaw in her wheelchair.

As far as Robinson is concerned, he has obviously won the 3rd corner spot over Castro, who was torched worse in the first few games.

I am curious how Bell would do in the slot. He is a heck of a tackler for a CB and might do well there?
