Tech maybe overrated but the entire myth that Kansas is one of the top programs in the Big 12 is simply the result of a soft 2007 schedule in which it skirted UT, OU and Texas Tech on the way to its "dream season". I say Tech finds a way to win this one although it won't be easy.

Agreed. KU never gets any respect.

KU had a good team last year. They lost one game. Granted they did not have to play OU or UT ((Texas Tech are the pretenders: they were crushed by UT in austin and beat OU on a fluke last year in Lubbock) KU definitely would have beat a mediocre Tech team last year and would have given UT more of a game that the dust raiders.

Typical Texas vs OSU game...Texas goes down by 14 by the beginning of the 2nd quarter (all hope seems lost), but then comes back after halftime to win by 21.

Yes, but what a game.

Ok State is for real and Texas not quite as dominating as everyone thought. Their one dimensionality almost caught up to them.

As for Tech. Geuss I was wrong. But the dust raiders have a reality check coming next week. I look for UT to win big.

KU will take care of business against the dust raiders.

you might want to rethink that

UT is #1

OSU has a good ground game and stayed close. UT lead the whole game, unusual for the OSU series. Two UT turnovers kept it close, but their passing offesne is unstopable. Tech will lose in a high scoring game because the Horns can play ball control. The Big 12 South is spectacular this year. We wouldn't want to be Baylor.

Tech will give them everything they want in Lubbock. Texas is playing to their greatest potential. Coaching Staff should be commended but UT doesn't have the greatest skill position players. Can UT play almost flawless ball every week? They definitely can be beaten in Lubbock on a Saturday Nite if they don't. Its gonna be a great game.

I think TT beats them. Maybe not in Austin but I think they will out score them in Lubbock.

Year after Year its the same story with the Dust Raiders. They play a cream puff schedule and when they encounter real competition they fade.

Unlikely they will knock off UT. Even in Lubbock. They have not seen the kind of speed and depth UT brings. I predict UT scores 50 plus against the pretenders from Lubbock. And par for the course the longhorns will shut down Leach's "system" offense like they always do. His "system" works against non top 20 competition. You get to the highest levels and it fails.

Texas Tech definitely is NOT a top 10 team. I also predict they loose to both OU and OSU.

The mediocre pattern of achieving Toilet Bowl status year after year and failing to achieve the highest levels begins next week in Lubbock.

The TT-UT in 2002 comes up to mind when you think of Tech beating UT this weekend.

However, when tech beat them that year, they went on to lose to OU so no matter what, TT chokes

TT doesn't choke-they have overachieved just about every year. Definitely overachieved more than any Big 12 Team since its inception. They couldn't have asked for a better situation than they have right now. I wouldn't be surprised though to see both UT and Tech lose another game.
