could logan turner be the starting QB for the Lumberjacks
in next season's opening game against SMU?
God, I hope not. I hate the Lumberjerks. Sam Houston State needs a new QB, though. Bomar is graduating.

I'm not sure why and how everyone came to the conclusion that Logan Turner is the QB who might transfer. I recall that one of the Scout's articles on the recruits who visited this past weekend had the interviewed recruit credit Turner as a special host and person who was very positive on his presentation of SMU, JJ and the team. Doesn't seem reasonable to me that you would have a couple of your key recruits hosted by a kid intending to transfer.

www.katfans.com (Sam Houston State) reporting that Logan Turner is transferring to become a Bearkat. Shades of Josh McCown.

Turner is a nice guy but he is no Josh McCowen.
As to the HP question - how about Charlie Berry - and on our current roster we have KellyTurner and Zach Boyd - both on offensive line. Willaim Webb is also on the team now although probably not likely to hit the field. Also a few years back we had another O-line - center I think - cant recall his name.
The HP offensive lineman get better later and work their butts off, although it will be a good sign when we only take the 6-3 and up ones....

Is there not a few backup QB's behind Bomar? He will still have a lot of competition.

There is also discussion about this over on the ponystampede free board. Apparently we can expect many more transfer threads in the future. I think we can all be happy about that one.

Josh McClown was not very good at SMU. He somehow played a little in the NFL, just enough to exposed as a fraud.
He had an I problem. Interceptions and Intelligence. But you're right about Turner. He's even worse than McClown.

Well we need about 10 more to transfer in order to have room for all our incoming players
