He was on Tulsa's campus yesterday, getting enrolled and then worked out with the team.

How does he do that when signing day is not until February?

Frm the Tulsa board, he graduated in December.

Four-star quarterback prospect Shavodrick Beaver, who switched his commitment from Michigan to Tulsa on December 19, was on the Golden Hurricane campus today to finish the enrollment process for the spring semester that begins next month. He also worked out with the team during practice.

I still do not understand how he can work out with them if he has not signed a letter of intent. The signing date has not yet arrived. I am not dispuitng what happened, I just do not understand the "legality" of the situation.

Any practice would be for a bowl game and I can not imagine him being allowed to practice for that.

14.1.8.1.1

Practice Prior to Initial Enrollment.

A student-athlete may practice during the official vacation period immediately preceding initial enrollment, provided the student has been accepted by the institution for enrollment in a regular, full-time program of studies at the time of the individual's initial participation; is no longer enrolled in the previous educational institution; and is eligible under all institutional and NCAA requirements

Thanks, and I can buy that except for the fact that the signing period has not yet occured. I guess he is considered a walk on at this time and will receive his scholarship later.

Would that mean that he's also free to sign with another team and enroll in the Fall without penalty?

Tate is an idiot, and thinks he is going to start for mich next year

I am not going to comment on how smart he is or isn't, but one thing he surely isn't is humble.

Just check out his own personal website.

Some highlights:

"Greg Biggins from rivals.com said the rankings are not always accurate and the star system can be a joke."

"Politics aside, I'm at the top."

"I've outperformed my competitors @ camps."

"When I get pressure, I will usually make the play."

"MY (X) Factor is over the top."

and my own personal favorite

"Important - note to older fans please DO-NOT misinterpret or spin my intent. It's just a resume to help unpcomming recruits! All resumes talk about the author."

Really? Resumes talk about the author? I didn't know that. Guess you can learn a lot from a 17-18 year kid with a gigantic ego. Oh, and it's upcoming, not unpcomming.
"Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid." John Wayne

I would say no. He could sign but would have to sit a year I would think.

If a football player enrolls in January they can not sign a national letter of intent because they are already enrolled. They only sign scholarship papers. Its no way they enroll without being on scholarship too many kids go to school in January for that to be a fact.

I never hung out with the smart kids who graduated early and I was smart enough to be ahead of the kids that graduated late, so I am not familiar with the January enrollment rules.

Tate Forcier: "I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I'm very important. Eveybody wants me and I will throw the ball faster, harder and more astonishingly than any other QB in the US...probably the world!"

Thanks for posting that website. What a buffoon...

Here's the young Forcier condescending to an interview at age 10:

4 star QB from Wichita Falls was committed to Michigan & switched today.

The Tulsa recruit reminds me of Ramon Flanigan. Same size, same high school.
