But only one of those 4 is from DFW

What is your point. "Is" is correct as "only one" is singular.

Wouldn't it be:

But only one of those 4 are from DFW.

I really don't care. Just got bored and it read funny to me. I hate the guys that nit pick typing and grammatical errors and I just became one of them.

I hate myself.

I like you, so I won't hate you for being the grammar police this one time. Even if you did make a "false arrest" on this one. I can only hope others will be as forgiving.

Cox School. They don't teach you to write anything there. You hire someone to do that.

This is a very good prospect that showed up on rivals today.
A former "Flying Wildcat" from Fort Worth Dunbar is avg 16 pts & 4 assists for a very good Navarro JC team. We haven't offered but TCU, Oral Roberts & South Alabama have. Signed with UTA originally but don't let that fool you. This kid was a outstanding player in HS & thumbs up if we can land him somehow.

Mexmustang wrote:I have one more comment. First, I as long as we keep rebuilding we need to alter our non-conference schedule. I really believe a young team walks through games against unheralded competition. While not winning a conference crown, the next big goal is a major upset against a "name" team. Young teams need to build alot of emotional energy to get better, that only occurs when they see a Memphis or Texas on the schedule every week. SMU and other teams improve and play better against better teams, unfortunately they also play down to the level of lesser teams, don't improve and often get upset or simply lose. What do you think?
Both of your comments are very compelling arguments. Well said.

pappa,
We recruited Brown very hard coming out of Dunbar. He wanted to come to SMU but we could not get him in. Jimmy told me he could be a difference maker if we could get him in. Navarro has another good player named Paul Crosby, 6"8", who is a rebounding machine. There is another good inside player, Brent Barz, at Tyler. I can't remember but I think he was placed there by Iowa but you never know.
