Why is SMU starting so late? or TCU starting so early? Anyone know why there is such a large discrepancy? Maybe there are some advantages to starting early or vice versa.

June may think he can avoid weather by starting later. I think that is wishful thinking, but we will see. Maybe SMU didn't want spring practice broken up by spring break.

JJ didn't want spring practice broken up by spring break when he was at Hawaii. I don't think that is due to hoping about the weather in Dallas...the weather is quite different in Hawaii and he did the same thing there. Hawaii starts spring practice on March 30 this year.

I asked some guys on defense and they said they were in fact switching to a 3-4.
