would you contend then that oregon's jerseys looks better than Texas', USC's, UCLA, and Alabama just because they were designed more recently?

thats garbage...modernity cannot replace tradition, class, and simplicity.

JMO i think oregon has the coolest jerseys in college football im not a fan of the old fashion all white with no design its boring. i like how florida state went to the all black unis too they look awesome. miami has always had cool jerseys with nike changing them every couple years

Maybe Nike was having a clearance sale, and suckered BSU into them.

What is up with colleges using black as a primary color when it isn't one of the school's colors??????? Our basketball team had red and black warmups that they wore several times.......

I am a fan of the traditional look, UT, Bama, USC, Ohio St, etc. I think the reason you see the Oregon State's, Boise State's and I will throw SMU into the mix, changing uniform design so often is MONEY MONEY MONEY. A new jersey design means fans have to go out and spend money for the latest design in jersey's hats, t-shirts or whatever. All of the schools introduce new lines of hats, shirts etc every year. The UT's of the world don't have to reinvent the uniform to sell stuff. I also know that the alumni base and supporters of the Alabama, OU, UT's of the world will not let the schools change the football uniform. They want to maintain the tradition of the a look that they have worn for 40-50 years. I think it does create a bit of an aura. Of course the design might vary a little from year to year depending on the supplier but for the most part it stays the same and they continues to sell very well every year

I would be all for it if fans could actually buy the jersey the players play in. But they don't, and even the traditional jerseyed teams being mentioned change hats, t-shirts etc, every week.

Don't athletic companies subsidize uniform costs to some degree? It may be that the UT/OU/Alabama's of the world don't change their uniforms because they don't need the money from Nike/Addidas/Under Armour like we do.

Nike makes the best uniforms in the business. Of course the dont always hit the mark but overall they are the best. Under armour is second.

Adidas is the worst.

They screwed up the stirpes on our jersey last year, made the pant stripes too narrow and the little SMU on the front is horrible(that font is not athletic at all/it looks like a font cox school would use)
Sorry, but you have that backward. Adidas makes the best uniforms out there, starting with ours (which I plan to see in person this season). Ours is one of the best in the country, and shouldn't be touched.

Nike makes the trainwreck duds they wear at Oregon, and now they have Boise State looking like a 2A high school team. Nike is complete garbage.
