Halfway there!

Good news, indeed.

Still not a lock, but I'll take it. Now, if SMU can show some improvement in the defensive schemes such that pressure is placed on the opposing QBs, and Robinson can keep his hamstring intact and healthy, I call SMU's chances demonstrably better this season. Wow. Could it be possible that the pieces are almost in place?

I agree with you on some of it, but we still have a ways to go. We have GOT to get some stud defensive players if we are ever going to be top 50, much less 25. Like you, I feel better about this year than any in a long time. Of course I felt that way last year as well. The curse of a sunshiner.

Lol. you are probably right. I am a realist as well, but I just let the sunshine show through. I think what upsets a lot of folks on here is some of the posters look for negative things to say.

This is great, great news. I was concernced about our running back situation a little, having limited experience back there.

My biggest overall concern for this team is and always has been the o and d lines. that is the difference between competing in C-USA and competing at a national level. The big fellas! If we can get some good players on both lines, everything else becomes easier, blockers get taken up by the d-line freeing up the LB's, holes open for the RB's and the QB's can step into throws... all that makes a world of difference.

I agree that this was probably the biggest hurdle and will be a push to the NCAA to makie the right decision.

It will be nice to finally have a RB that will scrare the hell out of defenses.
