A lot of the guys that sickntired is talking about wanted to play in the SWC. Too bad A$M, and
Texa$ destroyed it. They wanted all the moolah, and anything else they could get. This is what college football is about now days, and it really
sucks.

Anyway, I'm about %80 sure that our 89 team under
Gregg, and Rossley as OC would beat our current team, and our 92 team under Rossley would destroy them.

I'm not sure what's wrong now, but something SURE
is. I didn't really like Cavan, but his teams always seemed to do better offensively than I thought they would, especially with Cavan destroying more than 1 great QB's confidence by pulling them. I remember a GREAT game against North Carolina (there) which was Cavan's last game.

After that mediocrity, with a glimmer of hope possibly while watching the LaTech game last year.

Keep in mind that the last time UNC won a home game was that last game against SMU in 2001.

Seems to me they were top 25 that last game in 2001, and 21+ point favorites over us.

I see that they're 0-5 this year, and #81 in the Sagarin ratings which makes them a whole lot better than us right now. Atually somewhat the same as it was in 2001 relatively speaking, 16 - 17 points according to Sagarin.

I think our 89 team was rated about the same as we are now at #157, until they beat North Texas rather easily. Then I think they came close to #100.

Nacho,

You are also forgetting that Rossley ran a Run and Shoot offense and alot of times the defenses in these systems have to keep going on the field after 3 and outs with only thirty seconds running off the clock. And if you will remember our second team depth was a big drop off from our first(unlike Texas, A&M, Baylor, Tech, etc..) Remeber all the games we lost in the fourth quarter to UNC, Wisconsin, A&M(twice), UCLA, Missouri, etc.. This was due in part to a tired defense when the offense was not sustaining drives and running time off the clock. Give me a Rossley team from '95 or '92 with better talent and playing better talent. Give Bennett time, the talent is improving and wins will come next season.

Talking about any of the post-DP teams is like talking about your bottom 10 favorite movies of all-time. I have liked aspects of all of those teams. I loved watching Ramon. Dante was fun. Bordano was great. The run and shoot or whatever Rossley was running that week was fun to watch. I have to say that last year's and this year's teams have been the least enjoyable since our return, or maybe time has erased some of the pain.
