June Jones continues to build quite a basketball team:
Jeremy Hall, another Cub football player, is committed to play for SMU’s football program next fall. He averaged 8.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists at point guard last season while earning second-team all-district recognition. Like Reese, Hall is a two-year starter who will join the Cubs after football season ends.

Let's have JJ coach the bball team too.
best basketball playing football when I was at smu (89-93) was Cornell Parker followed by Vernon Edwards. VE would shake the backboard on his dunks

I always wondered what could have been if we had recruited DJ MooseBenga back in the 90s as a dual-sport player... imagine what a ridiculous TE or DE he could have been...

AMAZING! For 3rd week in a row, Jeremy Hall makes a game clinching play in a down-to-the-wire game.
On Tivy’s next possession, Jeremy Hall stripped Ironside and recovered the ball, setting Brenham up deep in Tivy territory for the game-sealing FG by Tanner Schmidt with 1:37 left.
"Jeremy Hall is a game-changing player and SMU is lucky to have him," West said
Brenham will play the winner of Defending 4A Champ Aledo and Dennison(with RB D.J. Jones) in Austin for the 4A Championship.

actually Hall had both a strip of the ball causing a fumble and an interception both in the final 5;00 minutes of the 4th Q. 4 turnovers in the closing minutes of 3 straight playoff games to seal all 3 victories. This is the kind of big play types I likee-
