What about the 1994 game at the Rose Bowl when SMU was in the red zone with like a minute left, driving to tie the score against #13 UCLA, and Flanigan couldn't pull it off?

Yes any tie or 1-td loss to a ranked team that we had in '94

1--byu only time in my life i have ever broken out in a cold sweat

2-ol miss horrendous meltdown in the fourth quarter. every player on ol miss held during the punt return for a td but not one was called.

3--wsu i didn't talk to anyone until the following afternoon except that i blurted out during sunday school that our qb is an idiot in response to a question. honest truth.

I was at that game and while it was heartbreaking (I've still never seen someone throw an incomplete pass backward like the Marshall QB allegedly did), it was not totally unexpected. They had been knocking on the door all day and dominated play (our offense was non-existent), we just bent but didn't break on D until that call and the gas drained out of the engine on defense. But not one of the three most heartbreaking. I don't know I get more heartbroken about getting blown out than losing a close game. I think back to some of those TCU debacles or the Oklahoma State game where the guy set a single game TD record against us, or the UH game where they hung 90+ points on us. Those games told us, we not only stink, we hopelessly stink.

What about PB's last game at MEMPHIS? man. heartbreaking just because it was so typical of the close games that we always always come up short in.

I would have to include the season opener against Navy (??2002??) when they were winless the year before and then looked like we had never seen a team run the option, and in celebration of that fact, tried to burn down the stadium with fireworks in the south end zone....
