Imagine what the attendance could have been if SMU and TCU were both 3-0 right now.
Oh well, if "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, what a Merry Christmas it would be----Dandy Don Meridith.

Thats it? only 35k?
I know SMU is going to get crushed. Its doubtful TCU has a letdown.

You would think they would have around 50,000 with that 3 and 0 start and a big win.
That would be mighty impressive since Amon Carter doesn't even hold that many people.
Not to mention TCU can't expect SMU to bring more than 200 fans thanks to their lethargic fan base.

We don't travel well, even if it's only 35 miles away. TCU had 35,249 for Texas State, but, TS probably brought more fans than we will.

Tyler Junior College travels better than SMU.
I don't blame the fan base after 20 years, however things are going to change soon.

I think this game is going to be closer than people think. TCU comes off an emotional win at Clemson and SMU has a week off to prepare. The Washington State loss was tough on confidence. Would have been nice to go into the game 3-0. But I think June Jones will have the team ready.
Go Mustangs!

Does that include everyone tailgating that never quite make it in to the stadium?

Also, as I recall TCU had a short week after beating OU and then losing to us.

I remember when Pat Sullivan was your coach. You don't support a loser either!!

I truly believe that TCU is overrated and SMU is underrated. SMU shows up to play and wins this game.

I agree with the first part. Regarding the second, if we do not self destruct we at least beat the spread.

I think it all comes down to turnovers. If we can avoid them and force them to win the game with their offense, it will be an interesting game. Their offense is adequate, but not great. If we can stop the run it might be interesting. The other variable is the weather. If its monsoon raining (like the VA Tech/Miami game) we're in deep doo doo.

So, should we all wear black?
