I am pretty sure TCU's average starting field position was at the SMU 40

It was just pitiful special teams coverage all the way around. And we couldn't make a PAT - stupid to go for 2 in the second quarter. Our kickoff guy (also our PK guy) was awful during the first 3 qtrs...consistently kicking it to the 17 yd line. Finally brought in the back-up for the last 2 and the coverage improved. As for the bad snaps by your snapper and the wet ball excuse...as a comparison the TCU snapper had no problems. Great job by your punter - especially that first one.

Yeah I noticed that the TCU snapper had no problems and my guess is that Patterson/TCU's special teams coach had the deep snapper practice with a wet ball at some point in time.

Ol' boyo Denny McKnight should spend less time at the local Irish watering hole gloating over the new horses and more time learning how to coach special teams.

Maybe it's time to use more defensive first teamers on Special teams to shore the problems with coverage.....don't think this team is deep enough yet not to use starters on Special Teams....TCU used some defensive starters on Special Teams
