If this is true about them being back, I'm sure that will be their angle to start removing Peruna.
"Peruna can't behave on the sidelines, he's a safety risk, a liability, we have to keep him out of the stadium to protect our castrated trick ponies. They aren't naughty boys like Peruna!"

Varsityshill, care to comment?
He'll just give you some BS spin about it and find some way to equate it with the War in Darfur.
Those horses are now part of the SMU family. Just like BLM is an SMU player and still part of the family, we should not say degrading things about him (i.e. name calling) so so we at least be respectful of our 2 additions to our family. No we all do not agree with things the people do but the 2 horses were in bad situations and were supposed to come to a caring home not a hating home. I would encourage all not to take it out on them. As much hard hate toward them as I an reading I just hope someone does not try to poison the 2 horses.

There's no hate of the horses...it's not their choice to be at SMU. There's hate towards the people who are trying to replace the mascot.
If the rumor turns out to be true, I would guess JJ has his hands once again all over this. How, I wonder, were we able to win in Tulsa without those geldings leading the team out onto the field?
This "big" horse BS needs to end...or are we going to have to assemble a linch mob to march on the Athletics admin bldg.to end it?
Let them enjoy the luxuries of the equestrian stables, but keep them out of the stadium.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
If we're kicking the crap out of Rice on Saturday, who cares if we have a whole barnyard in the SW corner of the stadium?!?
Do we know yet if the mustangs are leading the team onto the field or will they just be stationed in the corner? Based on the first game they were at, they in no way interferred with Peruna's role as the mascot.

If some criminal does that they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and be forever barred from any association with the university. I would love to be on that jury. People these days do not take kindly to cruelty to animals. For goodness sakes these animals have already suffered enough!

Nobody wants to poison the horses, although I'm not sure I would call these horses "members of the SMU family." If there is any animal in danger of being poisoned here, it would be Peruna. This is one of the dumbest things ever done by a college athletic department, period.
Get ready for lots of nifty rope tricks folks!
And I'm all for donating them to the equestrian program, so don't talk to me about "we need to save the horses."

Uh how about someone watch Peruna because he stands in the way of those "who want to control everything."
