Look people, joking about paying players is not funny. I personally had a brother attend SMU football program the first year off the death penalty. I must say his first 2-3 yrs there, the team struggled. Every game was labled with "death penalty" this and that. It was hard getting players to come to SMU for this reason and also for the requirment standards here. So let's not joke....I have another brother that's carrying on the traditions that my brother started back in 1990 as I speak.
